Abstract

introduction : nomadic tourism as one of the new approaches to tourism , emphasizing the active participation of tourists in cultural , social and environmental experiences can play an important role in sustainable development of nomadic areas .

the purpose of this study is to investigate and evaluate the potentials of tourism development in the nomadic areas of ]zeh city .

methodology : this research is an applied research in terms of purpose and is descriptive - analytic . required data were collected through documentary studies , observations and questionnaires . the population of the study includes nomads in the study areas and experts in the field of tourism and development of nomadic areas .

geographical territory of research : the study area is nomadic areas of ]zeh county.

findings and discussion : the findings indicate that in all indicators the participants have a high score of 3 , which shows that they have a positive view on the different aspects of the subject . also based on friedman test , immersion index has the highest rank .

Conclusion:

The research findings indicate that among the evaluated factors, elements such as cultural diversity, rituals, nomadic customs, natural landscapes, local hospitality, and the opportunity to engage in daily nomadic activities—which constitute the core experiential and skill-based dimensions—rank among the most significant potentials for developing experiential tourism in the region. Conversely, inadequate infrastructure, insufficient training, a lack of coherent planning, and managerial constraints pose fundamental challenges to the development of this type of tourism. These barriers primarily pertain to the external environment of the nomadic community and relate to the upstream, macro-level factors required to facilitate the experiential tourism setting. To overcome these challenges, responsible institutions at the national, regional, and local levels must adopt a targeted managerial approach and specialized planning to address these structural shortcomings.
