Abstract
Introduction: Livelihood of nomadic households is dynamic and can show flexibility to changing conditions. In this regard, households, in order to be more flexible and maintain the sustainability of their livelihood over time, based on the combination of assets and background factors and external stresses, including climate variability and environmental conditions, to In order to solve the challenges ahead in sustainable livelihood, they choose and follow strategies.
The purpose of the research: the purpose of the current research; Identifying the challenges and sustainable strategies of livelihood of the nomads under study is the Kalhor clan of Tehran.
Research methodology: the present research in terms of purpose; It is practical and interpretive and analytical in nature, and in terms of method, it is in the group of qualitative and quantitative researches. In order to analyze the data, Grand Theory and Delphi methods and DEMATEL model have been used.
The geographical area of ​​the research: The geographical area of ​​the current research is the Kalhor tribe of Tehran in Mesgharabad village.
Findings and discussion: The results showed; Challenges (instability of pastures, incorrect expediency, centralized approach, institutional and structural challenges, lack of continuous capacity to sell products, changes in land use, weak self-confidence among nomads and the aging of nomadic society) from the units A meaning was extracted. Then, Delphi method was used in order to find the level of experts' agreement on the challenges identified by the nomadic communities. Based on this, considering that the de-fuzzified average difference of the experts' opinions in two stages was less than the threshold, the experts reached a final consensus regarding the challenges. Further, in order to solve the challenges, strategies were extracted (developing production facilities, finding talent in the region and settling the Kalhor tribe by providing facilities, financial and credit facilities, coordinated and integrated management, economic resilience, good governance). Finally, the results showed; strategies (talenting of the region and settlement of the Kalhor tribe by providing facilities, coordinated and integrated management, economic resilience, good governance) with a positive EI value; were determined as effective strategies and strategies (financial and credit possibilities and development of production facilities) with a negative EI value; were determined as effective strategies, and among the effective strategies, respectively: finding talent in the region and settling the Kalhor tribe by providing facilities; the most and good governance strategy; They have the least influence on the sustainable livelihood of the Kalhor tribes of Tehran.
Results: By identifying the challenges and strategies of livelihood sustainability in the nomadic communities of Kalhor, Tehran, part of the requirements for knowing the future of these communities are outlined. So that their sustainable livelihood is ensured and makes them resistant to external disturbances, such as climate variability and adverse environmental conditions.
